The face behind SEDCeramics

Hi! I'm Simone, the creator behind SEDCeramics.

My pottery journey started 2 years ago. I took a course in pottery and quickly fell in love with every aspect of it. Pottery became a space where I could quiet my mind and work with my hands.

Starting my own ceramics studio allowed me to work at my own pace, while still challenging myself creatively and technically. The process itself — from the wetness of the clay to the chemistry of glazes and the unpredictability of the kiln — keeps me learning every day. It can be frustrating when things go wrong, but when it all comes together, the satisfaction is incomparable.

More than anything, pottery has taught me that success doesn’t always mean stability or status — it can simply mean waking up each day excited to do what you love.

Through SEDCeramics, I hope to share the joy and beauty of handmade work.
Each piece is made with time, care, and attention — a reminder that slow creation has its own kind of value. SED are my initials, and a quiet reminder of the handwork behind each piece.

By showing more of the process behind the clay, I want to inspire appreciation for craftsmanship and the imperfections that make each piece unique.
On Instagram, I share glimpses from my studio — moments of making, experimenting, and learning.

I hope people not only enjoy the pieces I create, but also the process behind them.
